What is The Best Age to Get Pregnant?
- By: Jane
From the time that a woman comes into the fertility years, she may wonder what is the best age to get pregnant? There are many different opinions on this subject and consideration should be given to each one. The age of a woman plays a big part in a successful pregnancy. When she is between the age of 18 and 25, she is at the peak of her fertile years. During this time the eggs are released at regular intervals. Physically it makes sense that this would be the best time for a pregnancy.
With the changing times, women are getting pregnant later in life. It just makes sense that she will be more financially and mentally prepared. The biological clock is ticking and the rate of ovulation decreases with each year. With those facts in mind she needs to weigh the pros and cons. Most women waiting until the later years to get pregnant are not as concerned with their body changes. They are ready emotionally, and have had plenty of time for planning.
Determining the right time to get pregnant depends on the physical condition of the woman. If she is healthy physically and emotionally she is ready to get pregnant. If she waits to get pregnant at a later age there could be an increased risk of health conditions. High blood pressure is one of the things that can be a factor in high-risk pregnancies. Miscarriage and premature births are seemingly higher in older moms. Diagnostic testing is much more common in women that wait later in life to get pregnant.
The most important thing at any age is to relax and not be anxious. Childbirth is natural and has been happening since the beginning of time, in women young and old.
